Grr and double grr

We are suffering a wave of dying appliances. Currently the freezer, the toaster and the washer/dryer are all playing silly buggers. They aren't dead but they are working with roughly the reliability of a Liverpool docker. This morning the washing machine decided to go sick when I was trying to wash yesterday's peculiar filthy rugby kit. It got through a wash cycle but would not drain. After exhausting my industrial relations skills, I emptied it by hand and dumped the laundry in the bath. Naturally as soon as I started to push the thing back into place (I'd moved it out from the wall during the negotiations) the bloody thing started again. I really hate that machine.

Kitten update

Monster has a bad cold. He is sneezing a lot and is very congested. The other two are a bit sneezy but otherwise OK. The vet has put all three of them on a course of antibiotics for the next week which hopefully will clear the trouble. I'm guessing that once that is done they will be big enough for adoption.

Lady Jane is still the purriest lap kitten and has had her sutures removed. Leela has taken up permanent residence in my tie drawer. Padmini is just being Pad.
