State of the city
Dec. 22nd, 2013 12:04 pmIt's been a rough night in Toronto and even worse outside the city. Last night an icestorm moved in with the usual effects. About 10% of the city is without electricity. The streetcars and Scarborough SRT are not running and train, subway and bus service is badly disrupted. It's not as bad down here near the lake as it is further north but roads and sidewalks are pretty treacherous. We managed our morning trip to a very quiet St. Lawrence Market without incident and have power and cats. Not so good for the 250,000 people in the city who don't.
