No whining for a while
Jul. 26th, 2004 06:11 pmI won't be able to moan about having nothing to read for quite a while. My summer sale purchases from the Folio Society arrived today. So besides the Geoffrey Elton I am currently reading, I have Chadwick and Taylour's The Minoans, Fitton's The Myceneans, Marcus Aurelius' Meditations and Aristotle's Ethics. I also have an unread copy of Anthony Powell's A View to a Death which is the only one of his novels I haven't read yet.
In other news, someone was shot and killed on the corner of our street in the early hours of Sunday. From the description in the paper it sounds like we have a pusher turf dispute on our hands.
