Coffee time

Had coffee with the very lovely ginny_t this afternoon who is every bit as bubbly and fun as her LJ might suggest. Plus she bought two of my restored pens. I have my doubts about one of them, it's a no name but pretty. I think she'll be happy with the other one though. It's a very pretty copper Esterbrook. I think it's a very ginny pen. Can't see her with a black Pelikan 1000 somehow!

If pension portal prognostication doesn't work out, you could always go into the pen business. Pour a glass of wine, or maybe single malt. Suavely pull a pen out of your jacket's inside pocket, and describe its virtues in terms just slightly too technical for the customer to understand. Make reference to a famous author who used the same sort of pen. Invite your customer to test out the smooth-flowing ink - on their chequebook.
