Many places have been proposed for Camelot which is rather silly as it never existed. That said, I don't think Glastonbury is one of them. Tintagel and Silbury Hill are two that come to mind. However, the camelot I was referencing was the one where knights eat Spam a lot.
actually Cadbury Castle and Caerleon are a couple of the prime contenders... Tintagel is more famous as the place of Uther's betrayal of Gorlois w/Igraine which resulted in Arthur's conception... I've heard they had a great fondness for Spam...
Well Xanadu is the one where Khublai Khan did "a stately pleasure dome decree". There is no record of Spam at the court of Khublai Khan. Presumably it doesn't stir fry well.
Camelot is the legendary castle contructed by Arthur during his reign and home of the round table... Avalon is an island said to be the home of the Lady of Lake and the place Arthur was taken following his final battle to be healed... one of the places Avalon is thought to have been located is Glastonbury
