To the Book Arts fair at OCAD this morning. It was surprisingly good. Sometimes these affairs are a bunch of people showing vaguely book like objects or uninteresting hand made notebooks but this time there were some real presses represented as well as some independent printmakers. I particularly liked some of George Walker's productions (Biting Dog Press) including a Bram Stoker story illustrated with woodcuts in a really neat carved solander box and some of his one off bindings for Alice Through the Looking Glass.
Afterwards to brunch at the BierMarkt. It was very good too and I finally managed to be there when they had the Scotch-Irish Brewing Company's Sergeant Major IPA in stock.
