IIRC: You ask your LJ (and/or RL) friends to create a CD of their favourite songs or songs that mean something to them and then mail it to you. In turn you create your own CD and send it to your friends.

mrs_sean_bean was promoting this a while back, unfortunately, I missed the boat.
