More hard drive troubles. After assorted efforts at repairing directory structure problems, I gave up and reformatted the drive. Fortunately I didn't lose any data but it is a slow, annoying process to reinstall everything. This is, I think, the third time this has happened with this drive.

Third time's the charm... time for a new drive?

I always like totally destroying (ie. with a hammer and hacksaw) a failed drive in view of all my computers, as a warning of the consequences of failure.

(Ok, I haven't done it with a hacksaw, but wouldn't that be cool??!)
