i tend to have two windows open at once, scanning LJ and scanning news sites. i read this article about two minutes before i read your post, and wondered if either you or lemur_catta might be interested.
personally, i love the line "We have no evidence to support the use of the Atkins Diet in the long term." - i have to assume this is because no one's conducted studies, or else they'd say 'we have evidence that the diet is bad'. in which case, i don't think i give their opinion any more credence than Dr Atkins'.
