At least it wasn't hot
Jun. 19th, 2005 04:23 pmTo Brampton to play in a triangular tournament; us, Peterborough and the evil NOBs. I played the first 40 minutes against the NOBs before twisting something up in my left shoulder. Ice, massage and stretching didn't help much so that finished my afternoon. It was my own fault really. We had a tight head prop who ws not only being completely out-scrummaged by his opposite number but who was (and always is) completely useless in every other phase of play. I volunteered to go in at tight head. I knew I would be outplayed in the tight but I figured it wouldn't make things worse in that department and in effect we would have an extra flanker in the loose. It worked so far as it went but the strain of trying to hold a significantly bigger and stronger opposite in the tight resulted in me twisting up a shoulder muscle.
