From the Melbourne Age
Jun. 20th, 2005 11:55 amThe Melbourne Age is reporting that bookmaker William Hill is offering odds of 100-1 that the Australian side will be recalled by the government following their dismal sequence of defeats. The same odds are being laid that one of Rolf Harris, Barry Humphries, Lleyton Hewitt, Evonne Goolagong or Dennis Lillee will be called up to Australia's Test squad. On a more serious note, England's odds of winning the Ashes have been cut from 7-2 to 11-4, as have those on offer for Ricky Ponting not ending the series as Australia's captain, from 33-1 to 12-1.
