The trouble with electric stoves is they don't have a gas oven.

The trouble with gas stoves is that they don't have an electric oven.

I'd happily trade my unevenly dispersed heat, desperately in need of re-calibration gas oven for an electric one any day, if I could keep the gas burners.

But however well calibrated, sticking one's head in an electric oven just doesn't cut it.

sticking one's head in

I wondered if that's where this was heading. Perhaps you need some new kittens to nurture.

Unless you want to roast it.

I'm not sure I could live without gas hobs - they are so much better than electric. Not to bothered about the oven, but you have so much more control with gas hobs.

Yeah, I dont mind electric ovens but a gas cooktop is a neccesity. We've got an electric one at the moment and I just cant get the heat or control that I like.

actually you CAN buy gas/electric cookers, with a gas stove and electric oven: I know because my mum's got one.
