If BBC broadcast radio or TV just went off the air at regular intervals with no explanation there would be hell to pay. So why is it OK that the beeb's live internet feeds are flakier than a croissant in a Paris heatwave?

It's extremely annoying.

Err - because of the ridiculously high demand on their bandwidth right now, I'd imagine - something which doesn't affect TV/radio.
