19 overs, 119 runs, 5 wickets

What an amazing hour and a half's cricket. There was some quite extraordinary hitting by Gilchrist and, even more so, by Lee who hit two sixes out of the ground over the stand! Simon Jones finished with a well deserved five wickets.

And the convicts will follow on for the first time since 1988. I was a bit worried that Vaughan would bottle out of the aggressive decision but he hasn't. It's not over but England have their boot on Australia's neck now.

yeah I was a little bit frit about that. Right thing to do I reckon. Brett Lee's approaching all-rounder status n'est-ce-pas? Remember Freddie never used to make consistent test scores. Love Freddy. Love Si.

The career trajectory "bowler who can bat a bit" -> "genuine allrounder" -> "batsman who can bowl a bit" is not uncommon. c.f Botham, I. and Sobers, G.S.

haha. Although I'd say both Sobers and particularly Both remained genuine allrounders - look at how many wickets Both took. Nick Knight used to be mainly a bowler for Essex - came in about number 8. By the time he left he was at number 5 and was bowling less and the mighty bears never bowled him and opened with him instead.
