All the other kids are doing it
Sep. 5th, 2003 07:42 amI don't usually post these things but this one intrigued me. Feel free to answer anonymously. I will only despise you a little bit if you do!
1. How did you first find my journal?
2. Why did you originally decide to add me to your 'Friends' list (if you have)?
3. What's your favourite part of my journal?
4. What's your least favourite part of my journal?
5. Ask me a question. Be as random as you want.
6. Recommend a band to me. I'm curious as to what you think I should be listening to.
7. Recommend an LJ personage to me who isn't already on my 'Friends' List.

2. Why did you originally decide to add me to your 'Friends' list (if you have)?
This scary looking man at Yonge and Bloor told me he'd beat me to a bloody pulp if I didn't. *gulp*
3. What's your favourite part of my journal?
The kitty pictures! The fact that you're obsessed with trivia.
4. What's your least favourite part of my journal?
I hate this question.
5. Ask me a question. Be as random as you want.
What is your all-time favourite novel? (Hey, it's a good question hehe)
6. Recommend a band to me. I'm curious as to what you think I should be listening to.
The Beautiful South
7. Recommend an LJ personage to me who isn't already on my 'Friends' List.
Fellow Torontonian

Date: 2003-09-05 05:21 am (UTC)The two I have probably read most often are Anthony Powell's Dance to the Music of Time and Jean-Paul Sartre's Les Chemins de la Liberte although the last time I read the latter I didn't enjoy it much. So I guess AP gets the nod.

Date: 2003-09-05 05:22 am (UTC)2. Reciprocity is nice, and besides, you wrote well.
3. Cat photos. Sad, perhaps, but true.
4. Never thought about it before, and can't think of anything now.
5. Why?
6. Garmarna. They're Swedish and quite possibly different from anything else you've heard before.

Quiz thing
Date: 2003-09-05 07:18 am (UTC)When you friended me
2. Why did you originally decide to add me to your 'Friends' list (if you have)?
Reciprocity within reasonable limits (my friending policy)
3. What's your favourite part of my journal?
I'm not sure I see journals as having parts.
4. What's your least favourite part of my journal?
This is a weird question (see above). I suppose I am less interested in people's accounts of their pets whom I have never met than other things they post about.
5. Ask me a question. Be as random as you want.
Who, out of all of history, alive or dead, would you invite as guests for a dinner party (8-10 people, including yourself)?
6. Recommend a band to me. I'm curious as to what you think I should be listening to.
I don't know any new bands, but check out the first, UK, Nirvana, a rather shortlived psychedelic-rock group redolent of the period approximately 1969-71.
7. Recommend an LJ personage to me who isn't already on my 'Friends' List.
Re: Quiz thing
Date: 2003-09-05 10:11 am (UTC)Its a really good question and a tough one. Should one invite the people one would most like to have met, the people one would like to know more about or the people who would be most fun at a dinner party? Should one try and balance male and female?
Ok: Thomas Jefferson, Socrates, Frederick the Great, Marie de France, Dorothy Parker, Jane Austen, Roger Bacon, Aristophanes, Saladin

Date: 2003-09-05 07:30 am (UTC)1. How did you first find my journal?
Surfed in from Herself's LJ.
2. Why did you originally decide to add me to your 'Friends' list (if you have)?
Haven't yet, but any cat lover is a friend of mine.
3. What's your favourite part of my journal?
The gorgeousness of your cats.
4. What's your least favourite part of my journal?
???
5. Ask me a question. Be as random as you want.
I'm stumped. Maybe later...
6. Recommend a band to me. I'm curious as to what you think I should be listening to.
Bill Miller is who I like, but I would never presume to tell anyone what they "should" be listening to.
7. Recommend an LJ personage to me who isn't already on my 'Friends' List
Have to think about that. Maybe later.
I enjoyed looking at your Bengals. I'm somewhat envious, but I enjoy the companionship of two perfectly lovely shelter cats, so I'm guess I'm content. Thanks for the pics.

Date: 2003-09-06 01:06 am (UTC)- I think you found me, didn't you? My memory is so bad :(
2. Why did you originally decide to add me to your 'Friends' list (if you have)?
- Because I found you interesting and amusing and someone I'd like to read on a regular basis.
3. What's your favourite part of my journal?
- General day-to-day stuff and insights into things I know nothing about.
4. What's your least favourite part of my journal?
- Erm. I think you can probably guess the answer to that, but just in case - references to things that have four legs and are furry. :)
5. Ask me a question. Be as random as you want.
- If you had the opportunity to live anywhere in the world, where would go?
6. Recommend a band to me. I'm curious as to what you think I should be listening to.
- Oh Lord. I'll have to think on this one.

4. Uhm, to be brutally honest, when you speak about rugby.
5. How did you find my livejournal (which keyword/s did you use)?
6. Rožmberk Consort (http://www.volny.cz/rozmberska/en/o_nas.htm). I'm not forceful when it comes to suggesting music. ;-)
