chickenfeetToday's word is obmutescent which apparently means willfully or persistently silent. I note with amusement that my spellchecker is objecting to it.

lemur_catta and something interesting to read for me. Unfortunately the local library (indeed the whole Toronto Public Library Service) is proving a rather poor hunting ground. The bargain tables at The World's Biggest Bookstore proved more fruitful. I came home with hardback editions of Alanbrooke's War Diaries and Felipe Fernandez-Armesto's Civilizations. having spent only 25 C-pesos on the pair of them.
