Inserting crappy Javascript animated ads that crash browsers in web pages should be criminalised forthwith.

But it should become compulsory to use Firefox with the Session Saver extension such that you can recover all tabs and web pages complete with form information, LJ tirades, ekcetera, following a crash, or just absent minded window closage.

I use Firefox but I wasn't aware of Session Saver. It's now installed. Thanks.

Is the correct answer. Let me also point out the No Script (http://www.noscript.net/whats) extension, which will enable you to turn off javascript on a site-by-site basis.

(OK, it tends to crash the browser when you allow a site to script, but you're already covered against that happening.)
