From The Thick of It S2E1.

Scene. Ollie is on the phone to Emma, the Tory political adviser that he's shagging. Tucker (foul mouthed Scot and PM's Press Secretary) is swearing into his cellphone at the top of his voice in the background.

Emma: Is that Tucker I can hear?

Ollie: No, I'm in a Scottish restaurant and some guy is complaining that his Mars Bar is underfried.

Surely this couldn't happen?

We watched that last night and spent the entire show cringing at how "real" it was. It's very well written.

That and shouting "It's Dr Tony" the first time "Dan Miller" was on.

As an aside, we first saw Dr Tony, as part of a comedy duo called "Struck Off and Die". Dr Phil (the other one) wrote "doing the rounds" for Private Eye.

No....there's more than 6. There's 2 series for a start, and they may make more. There are um complications with its leading man...
Peter Capaldi is a genius.

Could things ever get bad enough that one has to shang a Tory political adviser... oh, you're talking about television?

I used to joke with a friend about eating Scottish food. Usually on road trips. Do you want to stop? nope ... let's just drive through the Scottish place and keep going ...

I have all the episodes. The first two series were hilarious then it went down hill a bit.
