Two of the kittens are doing really well. The little grey and white guy has gained some weight but not nearly as much as he should have. He got dosed again for coccidia and we are going to try him on a different kind of food to see if that helps. We also got a fecal sample off to the lab for a full work up to see if they can find anything.

What are the chances of getting all the kittens through ok when you get them at such a young age? Our dog once "adopted" a kitten that was so young it had only just opened it's eyes and I remember how hard it was to get that through...and that was with the help of a very maternal bitch! I hope the little grey guy catches up soon....

The younger they are the harder it is. They say the survival rate of motherless newborns is only about 50% but we've done quite a bit better than that. We've now fostered over 20 kittens and lost only three, a litter that had sistemper so they never had a chance.
