I find it amusing that I finally got one of the ones I knew before anyone else on your f-list, and of course it's a campy kung-fu movie.

You must have seen at least one of those. It's not a very obscure collection.

Farinelli isn't obscure? :-)

Maybe but Yhe Witches of Eastwick ir My Cousin Vinnie?

Oddly enough, nos 6 and 10 which nobody has got yet, are very mainstream.

if "Witches" came out today, it would probably be mainstream. I miss the days when Hollywood made movies like that.

Actually, I got My Cousin Vinnie, but everyone else had got there first.

I'm sure they'll do well in the Commonwealth Games sevens - I'm surprised you haven't mentioned Canada's result against Scotland...

Canada won 10-7 in a really good match for 7s. Real rugby rather than the 20Twenty version of Rugby which has been happening in most games.

I'll have a try

Lady Jane (cos that's what the coin says, isn't it?)

Stalingrad: 1993 German version

Number 6 is correct and I'm shocked, for reasons that ought to be obvious, that no-one got that sooner.

Number 10 is not Stalingrad. No Russians in sight.

Ah - I'll have another look at them.

But I'm still wondering about the significance of XII on the coin - if it meant it was issued on the twelfth day of her reign - too late!

Is it because it is a shilling, ie twelve pence?

Yes, of course. Somehow I don't like counting English money in Roman numerals, it makes pre-decimal seem even more remote!

The coin is obviously modelled on the Edward VI coin here:

I did consider Lady Jane, because I thought I could make out JANE on the coin. But that didn't make sense, because even if they'd had time to start minting coins in nine days, it should have been JANA REGINA... Well, that was what I thought.
