v sorry, terrible terrible stereotype of a certain kind of Canadian. I guess I should have said, like a Canadian forty five beers into Canada Day one syllable, then totally English the next.

Interesting -- I'd expected you to have a pleasant voice, but a bit deeper!

Eeee! I love hearing my LJ friends' voices. Yours isn't quite what I expected - it's pitched a little higher - but your delivery is just how I imagined, gentle and a bit dreamy.

more trans/mid atlantic than I expected. Strange how fast peoples accents can change. (Just listen to our dear queen).

Good Lord, yes. I endured the Speech on Christmas Day all the way through the 50s and half way through the 60s, and it has definitely changed.

Oh yes - it is textbook 'decline and fall' (and the clearest signal of the likely fate of the monarchy over the next two generations??)- though I doubt she will every completely get the hang of estuary twang!

My own accent, on the other hand, has gone in the opposite direction - and i am beginning to look a little like her - and I now enjoy marmalade and tea which I never did before - perhaps you should all elect me queen in her place?

Fascinating accent - about 70% English but with distinctly North American rhoticity creeping in.

You hybrid thing you! You sound a tad like the parents of one of my childhood friends. They came to Canada in the 60s, from Leicester I believe, and still have an accent of sorts.

I'd love to hear what your French sounds like with that accent as a base;-p

I didn't get to listen to this just now, so everyone has already commented -- but I have to chime in and say that I'm very glad I know where you come from, because the Canadian/English hybrid accent would have had be thoroughly confused otherwise! :-)

I know nothing about accents and had no expectations, but I really like your voice.
