Cooking the easy way
May. 12th, 2006 06:56 pmI don't mind putting the work in to create a fancy meal but it's not something I want to do every night and I don't think it's necessary. Tonight was a good example of how to eat well for little effort and not too much dosh. It was the first night this week that t'lemur has been home for dinner so something decent was called for. We had:
Mussels cooked with garlic, white wine, cream and tarragon with good fresh bread from Carousel
A salad of romaine and croutons with home made Caesar dressing.
The salad dressing was already in the fridge so the whole meal took less than thirty minutes to prepare and cook and it was really good.
Easy, quick and very good. That's my kind of cooking.
