Kangaroo!

Whitehouse Meats at the market had kangaroo today. They usually have a pretty wide selection of wild and farmed exotic meats but I think that's the first time I've seen kangaroo. It's expensive though. It's roughly the same price as musk ox.

I wonder what they'll have next. Komodo dragon?

Not really. They say people taste like pork but kangaroo is nothing like pork. It tastes like a cross between beef and venison. Rare 'roo steaks are excellent and the cheaper cuts make an acceptable daube.
