too shy? *laugh* what turns me on intellectually - would have to say poetry (but there is an artistic sensibility there for me too - I get off on it emotionally as well as intellectually)... and history - am a closet arthurian junky and have spent more hours than are good for tracing back texts and comparing notes in search of the root of the legends... it's fun...

May I recommend Francis Pryor's Britain AD? It's a pretty good take on the emerging consensus that the Germanic invasions in the post Roman period never actually happened.

I've always wanted to windsurf. 7. Hanging out with the smart kids and getting to learn stuff for a living. And campuses. Even horrible modern campuses feel like home to me in a way that nothing else does. I kow how they work, more or less, no matter where they are.

Why Montréal? Born & bred here. I've stayed in Montréal because of family ties but I think I could pretty much live anywhere, maybe even under water:) I'm freakishly adaptable.
