Perhaps the powers that be could swap England's cricket and football teams. It could only be an improvement. At least the football team is rid of the useless Swede while the cricket team appears stuck with the other root vegetable.

If he does, I'm betting on a career-ending injury. I can put aside my deep and abiding hatred of United when they play in Europe -- to a point. On an international level, I can support pretty much any England player. But Rooney and Ronaldo are just beyond my abilities to be charitable.
