No 'Polish' is not obscure Canadian slang for prison or deep shit, it's a Slavic language and, believe it or not, one can obtain audio books, in said language, of the criminal peer and hack writer's works. I am so boggled that I give you proof with this link to a bit torrent of Co Do Grosza, whatever that is!

I saw an Archer novel (English as I recall) in a glass display case under a window in the Hermitage in Leningrad. Twenty-odd years ago, I think.
