One book that changed your life?
There are many candidates. The shortlist might be Sartre's The Roads to Freedom, Thompson's The Making of the English Working Class and Abbott's Flatland.
One book you have read more than once?
One! There are some books I've read five or more times. Let's go with Powell, A Dance to the Music of Time.
One book you would want on a desert island?
Either Desert Island Survival for Dummies or In Search of Lost Time. It's probably the only way I'll ever force myself to read the wretched thing.
One book that made you laugh?
I'll go with Lodge, Changing Places.
One book that made you cry?
Jeffreys and Jeffreys, Methods of Mathematical Physics
One book you wish had been written?
Tensors for Dummies
One book you wish had never been written?
Mein Kampf
One book you are currently reading?
Penrose, The Road to Reality
One book you have been meaning to read?
I want to read Simon Raven's Alms for Oblivion series but Oblivion is exactly where Canadian distributors seem to have consigned it.
added A really obscure book you have read
There are lots. Take your pick from Simonov, Days and Nights, Coates and Topham, Industrial Democracy in Great Britain or Hodgson, Trotsky and Fatalistic Marxism.
