The Black and White kitten has gone AWOL. We are trying to go out for the afternoon and the little beastie is nowhere to be found. She must have found some very secret and exciting hole and decided to nap there but neither of us is keen on going out without knowing where she is. Normally when we are not around we put the kittens in the kitten kondo so they can't get up to any mischief or get in unrefereed fights with Jane and the bengals. This is most annoying.

ETA: We went out with the kitten still missing. Just got back and kitten has reappeared none the worse for wear.

I hate that. One of ours, at almost nine poounds, does that regularly, and it's still unnerving! Good luck finding her!

Maggie does that. At eight pounds, she's just little enough to get into absurdly small and out-of-the-way hiding places, and of course it doesn't help that she's black so it's impossible to see her. I hope you find the kitten!

Oh dear, that's annoying. I wonder if she's found the other end of the wormhole into which my white towel has vanished. I could have sworn I put in the washing machine along with the other towels, but I can't find it there, or in the bathroom from which I took them, or anywhere in between where I might have dropped it. If you find an unexplained white towel during your search, I'll keep an eye out for a black and white kitten.

The towel has just reappeared, in a place I had searched twice already. I hope the kitten does likewise.

Hmmph. Sabotage! I hope you've managed to find her and go out.

Ha, that settles it. She was temporarily lurking in my (inactive) washing machine. Glad she made it back safely.

I suspect the existence of extra, bounded, dimensions of the order of magnitude of a kitten.
