Worst of both worlds?

Tropical Annoyance Ernesto seems to be burning itself out over the lake. Despite the storm centre clearly moving this way and the edge of the storm passing through Toronto three or four hours ago we have had nothing even vaguely resembling a storm here, indeed not much more than drizzle. However it does seem to have done enough to stop the Air Show so I won't get to see the fantastically expensive F-22A which was supposed to be flying today. At $360 million per it ought to be some fairly awesome plane but I don't suppose it's all that exciting really.

ETA: They are flying after all. An F-86, an F-16(?) and a CF-18(?) just flew across the harbour.

Air Shows are the most fun. My ex was in the USAF and when we moved to Japan I got to fly in several different kinds of birds when I did some traveling ( C-130, C-141, C-5, and a medical plane ). However, this is my favorite.


When we were stationed at Pope AF base they went from a MAC to a SAC base it may have been from a MAC to a TAC, I can't remember. Anyway, the AF brought in F-16s and A-10s. I LOVED them.

A-10s are seriously ugly and not nearly expensive enough for the USAF to actually like them but they do seem to do the job!
