Torture as usual

Mass hangings resume

No WMDs
No Al Qaeda link
No democracy
No human rights

Remind me just what the Bush/Blair project was supposed to achieve.

Possibly in that order.

Permanent destabilization of a critical region - no, wait, that's what actually happened.

Also, there may have been a certain amount of plain stupidity involved.

The only tangible benefit so far: the end of Euro-denominated oil sales. That could have destroyed the dollar.
