Things I'm grateful for this morning

Taking a leaf out of frumiousb's book:

• Montreal police acting swiftly and effectively yesterday to stop the attack at Dawson. What happened is awful but it could have been far, far worse.
  
  
• A friend plugging my resume at the company he works for.
  
  
• Getting a clear and curable diagnosis for the long running saga of the lemur knee.
  
  
• Three healthy kittens who are about ready for adoption.

That's an excellent list. I completely agreed regarding the first point. I'm glad Dawson has such a high enrolment (10,000) that it made the decision not to hesitate the safer of two options.

Note: I'm using this icon to protest the sexing up of guns, clearly a contributing factor in yesterday's tragedy. By having this icon, I was/am guilty of contributing to a culture that occults deadly weapons. Bandying about with guns and violence should not be deemed a counterculture art form or an acceptable form of self-expression under any circumstance.
