Season winds down

The Ontario league season is winding down. This afternoon I watched Aurora Barbs tie the the Beach to secure the championship. They were a bit lucky as the Beach place kicking was appalling. With a decent kicker for the Beach it would have been over by half-time. The expectation was that the Barbs would need a bonus point win today to secure the league bit an unexpected win for the Irish over second place Crusaders meant that the tie was good enough.

Elsewhere, and against the form book, my own Nomads stuffed Brampton ensuring that the Nomads will stay in the top flight next season. Saracens win over Brantford also pretty much guarantees that they will stay up too.
