Janey is doing what she does most mornings. She's curled up in my lap snoozing. A few minutes ago she was kneading my leg with her paws. This makes me quite insanely happy.
Maggie is our resident serial kneader, but she is pretty strict about only doing it in the humans' armpit area. Many's night I've found myself waking up from her trying to be a snugglebunny. I roll over onto my back and put out my arm, then she flops over onto her side (facing me), rests her head on my arm and starts kneading away.
I met a cat once who had apparently been taken away from his mother too early, and though now several years old he tried to knead me and suck my breast at the same time, admittedly through a couple of layers of clothing. It was a curious experience.
Awwww. I can't wait til I'm dog sitting next week - I'll be in for a week of contented-nose-on-foot comfort! Just as well I'm not looking after the monster (see icon), or I'd be in of a week of "No, they're my toes and you can't chew them!". :D
Awww. Sweet cat routines like that are lovely. So long as they don't cause problems for *your* routine! Muffin had a spell of parking himself on my lap before I'd got my morning cup of tea.... (Yes, it was possibly my fault for sitting down without my cup of tea, but it didn't seem that unreasonable a thing to do.)
