Is it just me or has LJ been going through lengthy periods of virtual non-usability for several days now?

First time I tried to reply I got "Server error: Database temporarily unavailable". Nuff said

And I got something like that when I tried to open this entry! I think there's something going on, as I lost LJ altogether for half an hour or so at the weekend, and another friend complained that she kept getting "fatal errors mentioning my stylesheet".

Also, if I move from one page of LJ to another and back again - eg from my friends list page to reading comments and back to the main page - normally the page I'm returning to refreshes automatically (ie it shows any newer entries, and the comments tallies go up), but that's stopped; I have to keep clicking "refresh" - though I was attributing that to a bizarre side effect of my computer upgrade. (The cricket scores still refresh as normal.)

'Error running style' blah-de-blah-de-blah? this seems to have been happening intermittently all week, in fact I got it on clicking Read Comments on your entry just now.

It's not just you. I can barely scroll on my friends list, and it's just all round slow. I wasn't sure if it was my friends layout, or what - I don't think it's Safari, every other site I go to is fine.

It could be specific clusters. I think mine was especially dodgy a few days or a week ago.
