It is cold. -20, -30 with the windchill. The Gardner expressway is closed because the high winds are still blowing chunks of ice off the office towers. Yesterday, a cop claimed he saw a four foot by four foot chunk go flying past. There is a gas shortage because of a refinery fire. Yesterday I worked from home because I had no gas and the Gardner was closed. Today I decided to make the effort to go in to the office. It took me an hour to get from Sherbourne to Bathurst. At that point I gave up. I did manage to get gas though. Last night the lemur decided not to wear the Barney coat so I did. It was warm and did not make snarky comments about misplaced apostrophe's.

Oh, come off it. You'd have been disappointed if no one had mentioned the apostrophe.

I'm still amazed at the idea of huge chunks of ice falling off the CN Tower. As ways to die go, that'd be somehow particularly appalling.

Yeah, we were joking yesterday about how much like Kenny the lemur looked in the Barney coat and how it might just be tempting fate in the circumstances to go out in it.

That's just exactly right. Perhaps it's best you did wear it...

Goodness! That all sounds rather apocalyptic.

Nyah ha ha... meanwhile, in Victoria... it's about 12 degrees, the sun is shining, the birdies are chirping, and we recorded some billion odd flowers in our flower count. Nyah ha ha. (never mind, it's payback because we've had an awful - for us - winter)
