Tim's "Dirty Thirty" party last night. There were shiny people, very good sushi and a most excellent massage from the lovely Juice.
What though, I am forced to ask, is it that DJs do these days? When I were a yoof they played records (or was it wax cylinders) occasionally inserting inane chatter in the hope that they would get spotted by Radio 1 or some other children's station. Now they have two LPs going at once (both of which sound the same) and they do strange things to them. Since this doesn't appear to alter the fact that the music continues to be "Wumpa Wumpa Wump!" with squealy bits over the top I'm not sure what this achieves. They also leap around like a peasant with a ferret in his drawers. No wonder most people were out on the patio or lurking behind the bar.
