Nomads dinner dance

Last night
lemur_catta and I went to the Nomads dinner dance. It was good. It was like going to a big family gathering where you actually like most of the people. There was even the statutory member of a generation largely gone. In this case the near legendary Stan who is in his 80s and played for the Nomads in their first season in 1950. I don't think he ever misses a club social event. I love my rugby club. It's so inclusive. I couldn't begin to list the countries of origin of the people there but certainly every continent was well represented. The food was pretty good, the wine copious and the music non obnoxious. The lemur may have thought she had landed at a soiree in Brobdingnag though as the room was full of tall guys in suits and ties and tall girls in heels. It was a very presentable crowd and there may be photos as soon as someone posts some.
