Remembrance Day

Apparently at $employer Remembrance Day is an observed statutory holiday. I've never worked anywhere before where it was observed. I think I'll be at a client on Monday as it happens but I get a day off in lieu. FTW.

That is very satisfactory and rather cool. Remembrance Day has always been a significant thing in my family because of my grandfather - he actually died of the Spanish Flu after the end of WWI, but was counted (on the War Memorial) as being a casualty of the war. Which is right and proper.
