chickenfeetWhat with all the work related and refereeing news I forgot to mention the big event this week. We had a new washer and dryer delivered. The previous ones were the last of the apartment's original equipment since we have replace the stove, fridge and dishwasher since we moved in. It was a seriously clunky, twenty year old top loader of the sort that builders buy in bulk and it was getting progressively suckier. The dryer had, in fact, died.
The replacement is a stacked washer/dryer set by AEG so it's shiny and European and quiet and front loading. It has a slight ding on the dryer front panel which is why it was half price and therefore affordable. Even at half price it was still more expensive than most of the north American ones we looked at!
A washing machine has to be very shiny indeed to arouse even the slightest enthusiasm on my part so we can be sure that this is a source of great shininess.
