A. To be a paleontologist and live in London. Incidentally, I now study 19th century British paleontology and live in London.

A. I'd really like to learn the ukelele. Really!

A. Mangel-wurzel. So much fun to say.

A. No tatoos, but several piercings. I've had my nose pierced (left side) since Feb 1998 (10 years!), my belly button pierced since October 2000, and three ear piercings - one on the right side and two on the left. I have a great sensitivity to piercings and it took ages for them to heal. But I love them all, even if I hardly ever use my second ear piercing.
9) Worst Habit?
A. Procrastination.
10) If you saw me walking down the street would you offer me a ride?
A. If I knew it were you, yes.
11) What is your favourite sport?
A. Ultimate frisbee. Yup.

A. I like to think of myself as a realistic optimist.

A. Make akward conversation?

A. My father's premature death, when I was 11.

A. I have incredibly flexible feet.

A. Yes, my fat, grouchy, elderly cat Pickles - I've had him since the summer I turned 14! Also, the Carnivore and I share a black moor fish named Bruce.

A. Do people really still care about this? I find I don't think about clowns, one way or the other, very often.

A. Eee, antoher question that doesn't really ask anything about particularly insightful! Erm... longer hair?

A. Conscience. I'm pretty boring.

A. Wierdly, this has been the topic of recent discussion. I've always identified as blue-eyed, but there's some yellow in my eyes, and they can appear green, grey, or hazel depending on the light and what I'm wearing.
23) Ever been arrested?
A. Nope.
24) Bottle or can soda?
A. Can. I drink so slowly that bottled drinks go warm and flat before I finish.
25) If you won €10,000 today, what would you do with it?
A. Pay off a bit of my student debt. Boring, but true.

A. I disapprove of incorrectly-deployed prepositions and quote marks.

A. Gee, that depends. Sometimes I'd rather read than paint; somethimes I'd rather cook than read. I sure like eating.

A. Yes, more when I'm angry or talking to someone else who swears a lot.

A. Incorrect use of "me" and "I." And also "it's." And "who" and "whom." Um - other people's grammar?

A. Human?

A. I'm not sure I understand the question. How does one "believe" romance? Do I think "romance," as a discrete emotional state, exists? Yes. Do I appreciate it? Does that mean "do I appreciate that the idea of romance exists"? Or "do I appreciate being romanced"? I, uh, like a good romance in a novel or a movie - as long as we're talking about romance and not sentimentality. I like being romanced. As to whether any of that adds up to "believ[ing]/appreciat[ing] romance, I don't know?

A. I have many serious relationships. If you mean have I had sex with anyone recently, no.
2) What was your dream growing up?
A. I think I had some idea of being a teacher. Not sure if that's the stuff of dreams.
3) What talent do you wish you had?
A. Speaking fluently in front of five or more people without getting nervous? Or maybe hand-eye co-ordination?
4) If I bought you a drink what would it be?
A. Orange juice, red wine and whisky usually acceptable. During the Lent that's coming up I'll stick with the orange juice.
5) Favourite vegetable?
A. Cauliflower, of course.
6) What was the last book you read?
A. Um... good question. I don't have time to read books at this stage of the working year. I suspect it was The Muslim Jesus, of which I read more than half at Christmas before coming home.

A. It ought to be the death of my first niece. But since I don't dream about that and had the latest of my regular nightmares about my father's Alzheimer's last night, I suspect it's the latter.

A. My third cousin's adoptive sister used to be married to Guy Burgess's godson. As others have pointed out, the weird bit is that I know this.

A. Sadly, no. Worried about how cats would be fed when I'm away.

A. I'd like to stop my nose's recent disconcerting habit of going bright red at a certain stage in the evening. This seems to be something to do with temperature, and unconnected with alcohol.

A. I don't think so. The police occasionally used to stop me on my way home from college, but I think it was secretly to make sure I was OK walking the streets alone in the early hours.

A. Put it in the building society ready to pay the joiner for replacing the sitting-room back windows. OK, the estimate was only £1,250, but then I want to replace the front window, which will be a bigger job.

A. No. Not in a supernatural sense, anyway; possibly in the sense of a powerful memory which may lead to a strong sense of a presence.

A. To be a criminologist - then I realized it would involve lots of incomprehensible math, so gave up the dream. Tragic.

A. I wish I had the ability to paint or draw well. This could be influenced by my current employer, however.

A. A Sloe Gin Fizz, because I've never had one. Otherwise, a Corona if I'm feeling lazy.

A. Tomato. Also my favourite fruit.

A. Dead Cert, by Dick Francis. I must admit, I re-read a lot of my books (this would be iteration #6 or so for one of my trusty DF's).

A. At first you looked like a Professor of Antiquites...then I saw you were wearing chicken feet, so I knew you were a lovely shade of crackers.

A. I would be physically fit and weigh the appropriate amount for my height.

A. I believe in it, and I appreciate it, but I also know that romance isn't everything. Love, comfort, friendship, and confidence in a relationship is far more important than roses and violins.

A. I've always wished I could pick up languages or musical instruments less superficially -- I find the initial stages really simple, and then I get lazy when I have to work at being consistently good.

A. I'm honestly not sure. A couple of the really bad ones aren't really for publication. Not talking more to my maternal grandmother the day before she died is possibly the saddest thing.
