This time I'm posting some images of Masks; a collection of poems by the late Walter Strachan accompanied by intaglio illustrations by many of his friends. It was produced at the Old Stile Press.
In this post I'll show some shots of the beginning of the book and, later, I'll follow up with posts of individual poems.
Here we have the wrapper. The book was issued as loose sheets in a wrapper and slipcase.
And now the title page. The engraving of Walter is by Abram Krol who did the illustrations in my Thesée and was the moving spirit behind the whole Masks project.
