Yesterday 20mm+ of rain fell in most parts of the Toronto area.  Last night's games at Fletcher's were cancelled because the pitches were under water.  I'm supposed to be reffing in Brampton tonight.  I'm currently a couple or three miles away and it's raining.  There is also a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect for the whole region.  Girls U19 games aren't noted for their high skill levels and open running rugby on a perfectly dry day.  You can just imagine how miserable it will be in the wet.

OMG SRSLY PLZ—we drove through all 20mm of that stuff on the way back to TO from the cottage. At one point, on Rte 115 south of Peterborough, we were down to 20mph plus hazard lights because I couldn't see much of anything through the walls of rain blowing at us.

Haven't driven through a storm like that in years!

I got caught out in it too yesterday. I had had lunch with lemur_catta on Gerrard East and was driving home when the rain hit. It was cascading off the Gardiner onto Lakeshore.
