Suits me

Now I actually have some client work I find myself, sartorially, in jacket and tie territory again. So far i have discovered that the suits I had made in '01 are now a bit on the generous side, the one I am currently wearing from July '99 is about right but that the one i tried on from '92 the other day was distinctly too small.

I think I'm back in my `97 jeans. I'd like to get closer to my `93 size but with more muscle so my scale weight will probably be more.

I'd count this as a bonus on the '99 side then. :-) Sod the '92 version being a tad tight! *sed wiv best Bratfud accent* I had a telephone job interview earlier today and found out that said job requires "v.smart" attire prompting me to splurt out "Well, that's me off to C&A then..." (sic or literally not, but let's not be arsey here, I HATE clothes shopping!) I'm now the size I was when I was 19 (erm, more years than I care to remember ago) and I still manage to make absolutely anything I wear resemble a sack of potatoes, as I did then. Grrrr. >:-<

If you look okay and more importantly *feel* okay then feh ! And I'm sure you look better in a skirt than I do! ;-p

I detest clothes shopping too. My strategy for work clothes for the last 15 years or so has been simple. I have suits and jackets made at the same tailor. Thus i don't have to worry about inding something in my size. They also last much longer than off the peg stuff and thus work out cheaper in the long run. I buy shirts mail order (on the net these days). I buy say a dozen identical pairs of socks at a time so pairing them when they come out of the drier isn't a problem. That just leaves ties which are not stressful anyway.

As for non smart clothes, I am a total scruff so it hardly matters.
