A big improvement
Dec. 7th, 2003 04:48 pmToday has been a massive improvement on yesterday. I slept well last night and none of my dreams involved either an endless string of missed flights and lost bags or a violent confrontation with a family member!
After an uneventful morning I dropped the lemur at circus school and went shopping. Sundry purchases included a laser printer, wine, palinka and, following an enjoyable spell at Toronto's nicest used and rare bookstore, a rather nice Folio edition of Edmund Blunden's Undertones of War (one of my favourite WW1 books) and a Longus Daphnis and Chloe with rather fine aquatint illustrations.
I even managed to get a run in. Apparently its currently -1C with a windchill of -5C but it feels colder. I added a fleece headband and thin gloves (polypro - the type one might wear under mitts while ice climbing) to my usual tights and jacket. The headband worked well but the gloves were not really adequate. While my fingers didn't get numb like the other day, they were distinctly cold.
