A propos very little
Mar. 23rd, 2012 10:23 amI seem to have picked up the respiratory virus that is doing the rounds. It has settled down into a dry, hacking cough but it's playing hell with my exercise programme as even a modest level of activity brings on a debilitating coughing fit.
This morning, in that odd state between sleeping and waking I decided that there was an urgent need for a new order of chivalry; The Order of the Iguana; because I want to be a Knight of the Iguana. Go figure.
This weekend is the NDP leaership convention. I am quite touched by the solicitude of the commentators, editorialists and columnists in the Globe and Mail who are so keen that we, the members, should make the right choice. Naturally their strong preference is for the thoroughly unpleasant crypto-Liberal Thomas Mulcair rather than any of the actual social democrats who are running. If I thought that any of the Globe hacks would ever vote NDP I might take their views with something other than several hundred tons of Mortons' finest.
