I think Sparta is interesting. I need to know more. The ancient sources are not especially forthcoming and I am sure that the commonly received ideas have way too much Victorian public school ethic in them.

4. Who is Jenny Agutter? And though the name sounds familiar, Burning Man?

Jenny Agutter - actress - "Walkabout", "Logan's Run", "American Werewolf in London", "Equus" etc.

Burning Man - very odd festival in the Nevada desert that I attended in 2002 and will go back to one day. Its not often in one's lifetime that one gets to do Balinese monkey chant naked at 3am.

5. Maybe one or two Japanese filmmakers should be up there.
