melancholy
You are Melancholy. Melancholics are often gifted,
even prone to genius. You are deep and
thoughtful, but this can lead to your being too
introspective, to the point of moodiness and
depression when you find flaws within your
self. You strive for perfection in all things,
most especially your self and your immediate
world. You are sensitive to the needs of
others, and loyal to your friends, but can be
hard to please. Melancholics do well in the
Arts, science, and math.

A slightly longer run today, maybe 6km, and fast! I ran the first 5km at a good pace but I really cranked it up for the last km. I was definitely in anaerobic territory for the last few minutes at maybe 60-75% of flat out sprint speed (admittedly not that fast in my case!). I am definitely getting back to the fitness level I was at when playing competitive rugby three or four years ago.

Despite my life membership in the Bah Humbug! Society™ (comes free with my membership of the aging curmudgeon club) I have given in and put a record of seasonal music on tonight. OK so its Maddy Prior and the Carnival Band not some sappy commercial ordure but its a pretty big concession nonetheless. I'm also pretty much committed to doing the singalong Messiah at Massey Hall on the 21st. This is really scary as typically only about four tenors turn up (vs 200 sopranos, 50 altos and maybe 60 baritones). I'm tempted to fake it but i really can't do baritone.

Listening to June Tabor. I love her voice. I have only seen her live once, with [livejournal.com profile] wandra in a pub in Beeston too many years ago to think about, but her recordings have been constant companions.
