If BBC broadcast radio or TV just went off the air at regular intervals with no explanation there would be hell to pay. So why is it OK that the beeb's live internet feeds are flakier than a croissant in a Paris heatwave?

It's extremely annoying.

I take back everything I said about not needing new legislation to fight terrorism. "Causing disruption to the test match commentary" should be dealt with as the heinous offence that it is.

The locations of today's terrorist "incidents" in London, along with those from two weeks ago have now been fed into our local supercomputer Deep Goat. By mapping the locations to a seven dimensional non-Riemannian representation of London's public transport system (the minimum degree of complexity required to represent it's underlying randomness), Deep Goat has concluded that the next attack will inevitably take place in or around Mornington Crescent.
