More culinary adventures
Mar. 14th, 2006 08:04 amI'm getting confident enough to cook Thai food without looking at recipes. Last night I cooked:
Choo chee fish
Long beans with pork, roasted chilli paste and basil
Chinese celery with beancurd
Coconut milk soup with mushrooms, fried beancurd and cuttlefish balls
Steamed rice
I only used a recipe for the choo chee sauce.
The other thing I like about this kind of cooking is how cheap it is. I did the ingredient shopping yesterday and spent less than $20 which included a bunch of fruit. We had a great meal and have a fridge full of leftovers. Can't beat that.
