I thought the 100 things I like meme via itchyfidget might help with the down-in-the-dumps feeling.

Make a list of 100 things you like in no particular order. Avoid the obvious (significant other, cake...) and be completely honest with yourself. If you try to think of things that you are curious about and inspired by, you'll end up discovering a lot about yourself and in doing so developing a sort of bank of your interests and ideas.

6. Totally manic kittens
7. Beautifully produced books; so much more than just something to read

12. Swimming in the ocean especially if the surf is up
13. Cryptic crosswords
14. Stupid TV shows about armoured vehicles. I have a tank fetish.
15. Fountain pens

17. Fried rice, probably my ultimate comfort food
18. BBC Radio dramatisations, my preferred listening when driving.
19. A bengal pawing to get under the duvet on a cold night
20. Being far enough from the city to see shooting stars (it never gets dark here)

36. Proper English breakfasts (Irish ones can be pretty good too)
37. Having a CD player in the car. Such an improvement on tapes.

I've been trying for two days and I can't get past 40. So much for helping with feeling depressed.
